As I was scrolling through Twitter yesterday, I kept getting tweet deja vu (that's when I keep seeing the same tweet over and over again from different people). Everyone kept saying, "It's October, my favorite month of the year" or "October is the best" or "I just love October, I think it's my favorite month" etc. etc. you get the idea. Though my actual favorite month is December, I was so happy that so many people share my love of this month. I feel like I blog about how much I love fall a little too much (and talking about the weather might be a little ~overdone, especially on outfit posts) BUT I've decided I don't care because if you don't want to read this you don't have to. SO, here are 25 reasons October/fall in general is great.
1. everything smells like apple or cinnamon all the time. 2. pumpkin flavored beer. 3. you can go outside for more than ten minutes without getting all sweaty (at least in Michigan). 4. REESE'S PUMPKINS (they have the second best chocolate to peanut butter ratio of all Reese's after the eggs). 5. other kinds of candy. 6. Halloween costumes are really fun. 7. scary movie marathons on AMC. 8. Hocus Pocus. 9. Apple orchards. 10. corn mazes. 11. hay rides. 12. crunchy leaves. 13. cozy sweaters. 14. apple cider. 15. apple cider slushies (seriously, if you've never had one, you need to call your nearest cider mill and see if they have them and if not then come to Michigan and get one because they are so ridiculously delicious). 16. the colors are prettier. 17. good tv shows come back. 18. scarves. 19. hot beverages taste better. 20. carving pumpkins. 21. there's lots of cool fall stuff on pinterest that I will probably look at and never actually make (you too, probably, admit it). 22. petting farms (not sure why this is a fall thing, but they seem to be at every pumpkin patch/cider mill around here). 23. Harry Potter is almost always on TV (again, not sure why this is necessarily a fall thing, but it just usually works out this way and I don't complain). 24. it's close enough to Christmas that you can start getting excited (and maybe sneakily listen to some Christmas music...). 25. caramel apple donuts.
