It's possible that I oversold this DIY project with the title of this post, but I wasn't sure what to call it and it is kind of magical. This would be a really fun project to do outside this summer, especially if you have kids (somehow I always seem to enjoy DIYs that are intended for kids more than the grown-up ones). So here it is: magic rainbow art!
All you need is a tub filled with water, some black construction paper, and iridescent nail polish.
Submerge your black construction paper in the tub of water, and then drip the nail polish over the top of the tub. The nail polish will sit on the top of the water, so carefully lift your paper out of the water, keeping it parallel with the bottom of the tub. You should get a neat abstract design with the nail polish. Let the paper dry, and you should be able to see a rainbow in each drop of nail polish!
We did this project at our last craft night. It really only takes a minute and it turns out really cool (even for adults!)
