Glitter Heart Shoe Clips

Valentine's Day is in just one week, so I thought I'd share a quick little tutorial for some festive shoe clips. It will literally take you five minutes to finish these. So simple!

What you need:

  • Sturdy glitter felt (you can find this at Hobby Lobby or any craft store really - it's pre-glittered and stiffer than regular felt, HOWEVER, you could glitter your own with some mod podge if you're feeling ambitious)
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Alligator hair clips

Begin by cutting your felt into heart shapes. Mine are about 2in tall, but you can make any size really, as long as they are large enough to cover your clips.

Then you'll need to cut out a half-heart shape that matches up with the bottom half (or 3/4ths) of your heart shape. Do this for each clip. Then glue the two shapes together just around the edges, leaving the top edge open. Cut a small slit in the middle as shown so the clip can be inserted. Secure your clip to the inside of the heart shape with a small dot of glue and voila! Clip them to your favorite pair of ballet flats and celebrate February 14 in style!

Where might you wear these clips for Valentine's Day? Any fun plans?
