Roundup: Winter Boots

I really need a new pair of boots this year. I have a few cute pairs that don't really do much in the way of keeping my feet warm and dry, so I need something really practical that doesn't look like a dead rodent, preferably. Here are my top picks:

{1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

  1. 3 - 4 - 5 are my favorites, but they are all beautiful!!! I love boots. I only have four pairs of shoes right now: flip-flops, Blowfish wedge sandals, flat fleece boots and a pair of leather heeled boots. NONE of them are good for Utah Winters...

    My fleece-y boots I thought would keep me warm and toasty, but rain (and snow, probably) go right through 'em. :/ My leather boots are okay, but they have quite a big heel, which would suck in snow and ice!

    Boot shoppin', here I come!

  2. I own a pair of grunge boots purchase on shopbop.com made by boutique 9 and they are SO comfortable. I don't care for boot number 3 but I like the rest. I think 1 and 2 are most practical!

  4. OOh, tough choice, but I think number one is a favourite. I got a pair of blowfish boots last winter and they're just brilliant. I liked the felty blowfish ones too, but maybe not so rain friendly? :) x

  5. I would go with 1, 4 or 5 and against 3 (that one doesn't look snow or rain proof - which you would need to keep warm)

  6. HAHAHA 'that doesn't look like a dead rodent' Yes. Same.

    I am having a hell of a time finding good boots that are

    1. practical (no heel)
    2. waterproof-ish
    3. NOT LEATHER
    4. not totally ugly
    5. not cheaply made

    You can have one or two of these conditions but not all of them.
