Second, a few of my bloggy friends are starting a brand new project that launches this week - Scattergirls! And I'm sharing a guest DIY post on the blog today. It's a preview of a brand new feature I'll be starting on this blog over the next few weeks. Go over and check it out!
Thirdly, I have a tutorial to share with you today. I originally shared this post on Desirious of Everything, so please visit Sarah's blog to see the post in its entirety.
**UPDATED: I'm also featured on The Prairie Hen's blog today, talking about my Hedwig Costume. Busy day for me in the blog world!!
This lacy headband is really cute worn with a flirty summer dress, and only takes a couple minutes to make. What you need:
- a headband
- strips of white lace (or any color, really)
- strand of plastic beads
- glue gun
My lace pieces were already cut into strips, but if you have a spool of lace you can cut it to fit around your headband, then glue it onto the top using a very thin strip of hot glue.
Cut three more strips of lace (about 6 inches long) and glue them onto the headband at the top right. One should be angled toward the front, one toward the back, and one toward the bottom of the headband.
Fold each of the strips in half, gluing them at the same place where they are attached to the headband.
Take the beads and glue them along the top of the headband. I also added a couple extras near the spot where the extra three lace strips are glued.
