Fun With Flappers

I've always had a love affair with the '20's. Everything was so glamourous. Throughout the decades, the flapper style has been brought back and duplicated so many times. So naturally, Etsy is full of flapper-inspired dresses - some are authentic '20's garments and some are a bit newer, but still with the same amount of glamour.

All Over Fringe Tank Dress from alovebizarre ($42)

I really love this find. It's a fringe-covered costume dress with a top that's slightly lighter than the fringe on the skirt. Dresses like this are so fun to wear!

Pearly Sparkle Dress/Skirt by MadmoisellePearl ($45)

This lovely vintage find is actually a skirt that the seller cleverly disguised as a dress. I think it looks better this way, and the color and the sparkles are just perfect.

Dark Blue Flapper Dress by NinthAvenueVintage ($36)

This dress is a very classic flapper style - lots of fringe and not much shape. And I love the bright blue!

Roaring '20's Fringe Dress from OneVintageLady ($65)

This is one of those replica dresses - made in the '70's/'80's, but it's absolutely covered in fringe, so it's very reminiscent of the flapper style. These dresses are so fun to wear because of how all the fringe moves when you walk (or dance the Charleston?).

Red Fringe Flapper Dress from thevintagemode ($28)

Red satin, black velvet - does it get more glamourous than that?

Roaring Twenties Low Back Dress from caseyrhodes ($229)

This one is really beautiful. It's backless with a slight hint of shape. The contrast between the two colors make it really stand out. Just lovely.

What kind of vintage items are you wishing for this weekend?
